John 12:20–22
“Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.” — John 12:21
People are groping in darkness all over the world, like sheep without a shepherd. A world without Jesus is filled with hopelessness, despair, pain, and sorrow.
In John 12, we meet some Greeks who had come to Jerusalem to worship. They had heard about Jesus, but they had never seen Him and did not truly know Him. In their desire to find the truth and come out of darkness, they approached Philip and said, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”
Philip, together with Andrew, brought their request to Jesus. Their response reminds us of the privilege and responsibility we have as believers: to help people see Jesus.
Many people around us are searching for hope, peace, purpose, and salvation. They may have heard about Jesus, but they need someone to introduce them to Him—not only through our words, but also through our lives, actions, and relationships.
God asked, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” (Isaiah 6:8).
The Gospel is the great mission of leading people to Jesus Christ. That is our mission.
May our lives point others to Christ, so that when people are searching for hope and truth, they will see Jesus through us.
To those who have heard about Jesus but have never truly encountered Him, here is an opportunity for you. Come, and I will introduce you to Jesus Christ. You do not have to grope in darkness anymore. An encounter with Jesus can transform your life, give you hope, and change your situation for good. Come and see Jesus!
Prayer
Lord, make me like Philip and Andrew—in my words, actions, and relationships—so that I may faithfully lead others to see Jesus. Use my life to bring hope to those who are in darkness and point them to the Savior. May my life always reflect Christ and draw others to Him. Amen. 🙏
